NHTSA probes 1.2M Tesla Model 3, Model Y over suspension failures

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into roughly 1.2 million Tesla vehicles after receiving 156 complaints of a front suspension component detaching while driving. HMP’s new $3,999 electric scooter is the affordable, street-legal commuter the US needs

The US electric two-wheeler market has no shortage of high-powered electric motorcycles and moped-style e-bikes. Report That Tesla Considering Sale of Chinese Business Reportedly Completely False

There hasn’t really been a lot of notable news from Tesla lately. Even on hardcore Tesla fan sites, the news this year has often been little tidbits that mean more or less nothing and end up leading nowhere significant. There have been times when I’ve thought, “Hmm, I must be ... [continued] The post Report That Tesla Considering Sale of Chinese Business Reportedly Completely False appeared first on CleanTechnica.

Tesla weighs selling China business to clear path for SpaceX merger

Tesla is looking at cutting loose its China business to clear a path toward a merger with SpaceX, according to a new Wall Street Journal report. If true, it would be a massive deal in the auto industry. Tesla’s Shanghai factory builds more than half of all Tesla vehicles, so any separation would carve out the single biggest piece of Tesla’s car operation.

People Want Us To Not Cover Elon Musk’s Politics, But He’s Using His Wealth & Power From Tesla To Influence Elections

One random guy talking crazy, racist, extreme nonsense on the street corner doesn’t warrant coverage here at CleanTechnica. But when someone is using hundreds of millions of dollars and nearly unmatched social media influence to affect elections, which then affect cleantech more than anything else in our society, it seems ...
