The Government of Malaysia is developing a National AI Framework, led by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to enable a dynamic AI ecosystem that will leverage AI technologies to create new engines of socio-economic growth and innovation in Malaysia.

The AI landscape in Malaysia presents both an opportunity and a challenge. Though the AI adoption is still at a nascent stage with only 26 per cent of organizations having embarked on the AI journey, AI has doubled the rate of innovation, increased employee productivity by 60 per cent and boosted revenues by 38 per cent across all the sectors in Malaysia.
