Kingdom's Tech strategy
Like many other nations, KSA is rethinking its tech strategy as a response to the post-pandemic situation. In an attempt to help boost its economy, experts say technology will play a big role in leading the Gulf state out of any potential crisis.
With an expected downtime in the national economy, cloud is predicted to provide some buffer especially with regards to SMEs.
CIOs' priorities
CIOs across key industry sectors in the kingdom have dramatically shifted their priorities. This change in outlook is predicted to ultimately affect the way technology is consumed and how much enterprises are expected to spend on IT services and datacenters in 2021.
More than 25% of enterprises in the kingdom have plans in place to deploy a mix of on-premise/dedicated private clouds, multiple public clouds, increased datacenters and legacy platforms to meet their infrastructure needs.
