APAC’s development momentum is underpinned by 3.7GW of active construction and a further 15.7GW in planning, with Southeast Asia (SEA) accounting for the largest share of under‑construction capacity at 31%, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s APAC Data Centre H2 2025 Update. Holding a strong pipeline of 13 GW capacity, Malaysia is the largest market ex-China in the APAC region. However, in the context of tightening regulation on investment, energy efficiency requirments, grid constraints and power supply bottlenecks, data center developers are facing critical challenges to deliver their projects on time.
Against this background, the Malaysia edition of DCPSEA 2027 will bring together around 300 regional data center developers / hyperscalers, investors, asset owners, policy makers, power utilities and IPPs, EPCs, solution providers across the DC power value chain to dive deep on the most concerned topics and challenges facing the industry through efficient communication and collaboration.
