National Day travel surge drives China’s highway EV charging volume up 60% to new high

China’s EV charging volume on its highways hit a new high on the first day of the seven-day National Day holiday, as the country’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle fleet drives up demand for charging infrastructure. Single-day charging volume reached 28 million kWh, a 60.4 per cent increase compared with the first day of last year’s National Day holiday, marking the highest one day level during a national holiday period, according to a statement issued by the National Energy Administration on.
