THE ROAD TO NET ZERO

The energy sector accounts for over 40% of all man-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with the manufacturing sector closely behind at over 20%. As the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries strive towards its Net Zero goals in line with global sustainability and decarbonization vision, the region’s energy and manufacturing sectors have a paramount role to play in achieving this strategic vision. However, the lack of adequate know-how, technological capabilities and a sense of urgency can pose severe challenges and hinder the region’s vision at achieving Net Zero.

The launch edition of the Decarbonization in Energy and Manufacturing Conference, taking place from 19-20 June 2023 in Abu Dhabi, UAE will address challenges, strategies, road-map and solutions for the GCC region to transition to a low carbon economy. This initiative will bring international case studies, best practices, and showcase innovative emerging technologies for reducing carbon emissions.
