China is the world's largest producer and exporter of textiles and apparel. In 2019, it was a year in which China's textile and garment industries in Asia experienced challenges and tests, and it was also a year of rapid change, transformation and upgrading.

China is experiencing the challenges brought about by the intensification of China-US trade frictions. However, due to the integrity of China's textile supply chain, there are still many international brands that regard China as the first choice of purchase, and China's "One Belt, One Road" policy also has brought new opportunities including:

  •  Vietnam, with the support of international trade policies, textile and garment exports continue to rise, but at the same time, it faces challenges such as heavy dependence on imports and the continuous increase in production costs.

  • Bangladesh, clothing orders have risen significantly, however, production accidents frequently occur and the level of infrastructure construction does not match the export volume. - Countries such as India, Malaysia, and Myanmar have recently become the list of procurement sites for major apparel brands.
