Houston - The world’s largest oil and gas digitalization event is returning to Houston.

The Energy Conference Network will host the IoT in Oil and Gas conference for the eighth consecutive year. The two-day event will bring together some of the most influential thought leaders in the energy industry to discuss how digitalization will shape the future of gas and oil.

“We’re so excited and honored to bring the IoT in Oil and Gas Conference back to Houston,” said Energy Conference Network CEO Symon Rubens. “The ideas and partnerships that will come from this conference will play such an important role in shaping the future of energy across the world."

Held at the Hilton Americas in Houston on September 12-13, the event will gather more than 500 operators, service companies, EPCs, drilling companies, and technology solution providers to debate and explore the most pressing challenges in transforming gas and oil into the digital age. Attending organizations include Chevron, Dow, Exxon Mobil, and BP.

“There is no better conference than this one if you’re engaged with IoT in oil and gas in any way,” said Uday Turaga, CEO ADI Analytics.

This year’s event will include presentations and contributions from Ranjan Ghosh (Senior Digital Strategy Executive at Chevron), Liz Dennett (VP Data Architecture and Data Engineering at Wood Mackenzie), Theunis Myburg (Global Digital Transformation Portfolio Manager of LyondellBasell), and Sean Bruce (Digital Innovation Advisor at Hess).

Along with keynote speakers, the conference will include discussion panels, case studies, and planned networking opportunities at least five times daily. The event will also provide a 1-to-1 meeting area where valuable interactions between our attendees and solution providers have a chance to form.

During the two-day event, such pressing industry topics to be covered include:

  • IoT technology trends and opportunities
  • Leveraging technology to drive asset connectivity
  • Carbon reduction and sustainability
  • IoT technology investment: Edge, Digital Twins, and more
  • Leadership, training, and development
  • Regulatory updates

“It’s not just about meeting people, but this is about touching and feeling the things that really matter to you, and that change your business,” said Samrat Bera, Associate Vice President, HCL Technologies. “I think it’s a great event to get the industry together, and it was an amazing experience.”
