China eased a boycott of higher-end Nvidia processors, seeking to balance concerns about chip shortages hurting local artificial intelligence (AI) developers against the risk of over-reliance on US technology. Alibaba is among select businesses that will be eligible to buy H200s, Nvidia’s second-best AI chip, the South China Morning Post reported, citing an unidentified source.
